Fire & Rescue Services
Serving Boys Town and surrounding communities with professional fire suppression, emergency medical care, and rescue operations.
About Our Department
Boys Town Fire & Rescue is a dedicated public safety department committed to protecting the residents, employees, students, and visitors of Boys Town, Nebraska. Our team responds to fires, medical emergencies, and rescue calls around the clock, every day of the year.
We operate with a comprehensive fleet of emergency apparatus, including fire engines, ladder trucks, and fully equipped ambulances. Our personnel are trained to the highest standards, with many holding dual certifications as both Firefighters and Paramedics or EMTs.
Beyond emergency response, we are committed to community safety education, training local individuals in EMS and CPR through our certification programs. We believe that a well-prepared community is a safer community.
Our work is guided by three core values: Valor, Integrity, and Commitment.
Our Services
A full-spectrum emergency response department serving our community 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Fire Suppression
Our engine and ladder companies respond to structural fires, wildland-urban interface fires, vehicle fires, and other fire-related emergencies. Using modern suppression equipment and techniques, we work to protect property and save lives.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
Our Paramedics and EMTs deliver pre-hospital Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support care to patients experiencing medical emergencies. From cardiac events and respiratory distress to trauma and pediatric emergencies, our crew stabilizes patients and provides critical care en route to the hospital.
Rescue Operations
Technical rescue capabilities including vehicle extrication, confined space response, and other specialized rescue incidents. Our teams utilize hydraulic rescue tools and specialized equipment to safely extricate patients from complex entrapments.
Community Education & Training
We provide EMS and CPR certification courses to local individuals, healthcare providers, and community members. Education and prevention are central to our mission — a prepared community is a safer community. View our training courses.
Hazardous Materials Awareness
Our personnel are trained to recognize and respond to hazardous materials incidents. We coordinate with regional response teams to identify, contain, and mitigate chemical, biological, and other hazardous materials emergencies within our response area.
